Social Network Analysis (SNA)
I apply Social Network Analysis to examine and visualize learner interactions and knowledge construction across online discussion forums and social media spaces. My research explores how course design (e.g., prompt types, question structures, and informal social media activities) influences participation patterns and a sense of belonging in online learning communities.

Course Design
In course design, I integrated sociograms into courses to help students reflect on their engagement, recognize participation dynamics, and build more connected and collaborative learning networks.

Epistemic Network Analysis (ENA)
I also use Epistemic Network Analysis to model how learners’ ideas, motivations, and knowledge activities connect and evolve across different learning contexts. My current projects apply ENA to examine situational motivation patterns shaped by course design and instructor facilitation, and to analyze networked knowledge activities within a digital conference backchannel. Together, these studies advance understanding of how learner motivation and learning processes unfold through interconnected discourse, interview insights, and participation networks in digital learning environments.
